We had Salesforce. We also had a $180,000 annual bill and a team of twenty salespeople who used exactly three features. When I asked our VP of Sales what they actually needed, it fit on half a page. oDesk built us a lean CRM tailored to our B2B process — deal stages that match how we actually sell, contact timelines, automated follow-up reminders, and a pipeline view that gives me a real revenue forecast in seconds without running a report. Onboarding took one afternoon. Adoption was immediate because the tool fits the job. We cancelled Salesforce sixty days later.
