KYC onboarding was killing us. Our drop-off rate between signup and first transaction was over 70% — users were giving up halfway through identity verification. The flow had too many steps, the address confirmation screen was confusing on small devices, and error messages were cryptic. oDesk redesigned the entire onboarding flow from the ground up: clean single-focus screens, smart address autocomplete, real-time field validation, and a progress indicator that actually helped users feel close to done. The new app passed App Store and Play Store review first submission. Onboarding drop-off fell to 28%. That one fix changed our unit economics entirely.
